Automatic Scene Detection

VEGAS Edit and Filmora 12 both have automatic scene detection that can save you time when cutting pre-rendered video files.

VEGAS Edit applies AI technology to detect scenes, make splits, subclips, or insert keyframes, while Filmora 12 creates subclips and groups them as a whole in the original clip, which can be manipulated as individual clips on the timeline.

Smart Split.

Film and video editing has long faced the issue of jump cuts, which occur when you remove a portion of a clip and combine the remaining parts. In the past, editors would cut to a different shot to conceal the jump, but with Smart Split, this is unnecessary.

Smart Split employs AI technology to blend frames from each section and generate new ones, producing a seamless transition. VEGAS Edit provides Smart Split as a feature, enhancing your creative options, while Filmora 12 does not offer it.
