Improved algorithm for scaling images, 2x Enhanced Super Scale.

The super scale powered by DaVinci Neural Engine now offers a new "2x Enhanced" mode, which produces high-quality 2x output.

This feature includes sliders for noise reduction and sharpness adjustments. Users can access the "2x Enhanced" mode from either clip attributes or the inspector.

Generate subtitles in Studio using DaVinci Neural Engine from audio.

Now, English audio on Timeline can be automatically transcribed and converted into text captions for a new subtitle track.

To use this feature, go to the Timeline menu and select Auto Caption while working on the edit timeline.

Improved video updates for non-realtime playback.

The edit timeline playback engine has undergone significant improvements, especially for processing-intensive clips and low-end systems.

In the past, inadequate system processing resulted in extremely choppy video updates, but now, video updates are considerably smoother while maintaining real-time audio.

Color management is resolve on a per-timeline basis.

Custom timeline settings now let you override color management settings for each individual timeline, allowing for independent color spaces and other color management properties to be set.

Previous custom timelines will adopt the project's color management settings.

Studio's text editing feature is supported by the DaVinci Neural Engine.

To transcribe audio and edit matching media, users can select one or more clips in the media pool and use the Transcribe Audio button in the header or clip context menu.

This action opens a transcription dialog where users can manipulate text, add markers, and edit the media on the timeline.

Viewer now allows marker overlays and annotations

The latest update to the color viewer includes support for overlays and annotations for timeline and clip markers, which can be enabled from the 3-dot option menu.

Annotation tools are available in the toolbar when annotation mode is selected in the viewer, and drawing on a frame without a marker will create a new timeline marker.

The LUT manager now allows you to manage missing LUTs.

The LUT gallery now includes a "Missing LUTs" tab that displays a list of any LUTs that cannot be found in the selected timeline and project, making it easier to manage them.

Use AI-powered Resolve FX Relight for adding virtual lighting in a studio setting.

Relight, powered by the new DaVinci Neural Engine, enables virtual light sources to be positioned in a scene after shooting.

Users can create a scene surface map and define directional, point source or spotlight virtual light sources with adjustable properties such as color, surface softness and specularity control.

The alpha channel contains light intensity information which can be utilized with any of Resolve's current grading tools.
