Overview of features in the April 2023 update for Premiere Pro

Premiere Pro's 23.3 update, which includes vital fixes and user-requested enhancements such as background auto-save, is suggested for all users.

Quick access to recently used presets in Export mode.

The Export mode's Preset menu now displays the last three export presets you used, allowing for easy access to recently applied presets in other projects or sequences.

Rearrange project items in Productions by dragging and dropping.

Moving assets between projects within the same Production is simpler now. Drag and drop any project item to a new project, and it will be saved to the root folder. To copy, hold down Cmd (macOS) or Ctrl (Windows) while dragging and dropping.

Production makes larger, multi-project workflows in Premiere Pro more manageable, such as assistant editors collaborating with their editor.

Speed up Center Split transition using GPU acceleration.

Center Split is a stylized transition in Premiere Pro that splits the image into four quadrants and makes them disappear or appear in the corners of the screen.

It is customizable and with GPU acceleration, playback and exports are faster.

Text-based editing: making changes or corrections to a document by directly manipulating its written or typed content.

With text-based editing, you can efficiently edit videos by using transcripts to locate specific content and avoid the need to review lengthy source footage.

You can easily build a rough cut by copying text from source transcripts and inserting clips into the Timeline.

Editing can be continued on the sequence transcript by copying and pasting text to move or remove clips.

Color Manager

Premiere Pro's new Color Manager now combines all color settings under a single tab in the Lumetri Color panel, making it easier to manage Input Color Space, Working Color Space, and Display Color Space across the entire program.

This includes the ability to automatically recognize log media with the appropriate color space, previously found only in Modify Clip settings.

Additionally, working with Project, Sequence, and Clip settings has been made simpler by including them under the Working Color Space setting.

Lastly, the Display Color Space option, which used to be located in General preferences, is now accessible through the Color workspace or Preferences > Color.

GPU acceleration for Non-Additive Dissolve transition

The Non-Additive Dissolve transition maps the brightness of the first clip to the second, showing both clips clearly without a brightness burst. GPU acceleration improves playback and exporting speed for this effect.

Center Split

Center Split is a Premiere Pro transition that creates an old-school split image effect, which can be customized for different preferences.

It splits the image into four quadrants that disappear or appear in the screen's corners, depending on the direction of the transition.

Additionally, this transition benefits from GPU acceleration, improving playback and export speeds.

Non-destructive adjustments

refer to editing techniques that do not permanently alter the original file or image.

Various adjustments can be added to your design as a new layer for creative or corrective purposes.
